OLD WORLD, EVER ELEGANT: OSCAR DE LA RENTA HOME FOR LEE JOFA
Filled with jewel tones and lush textures, Oscar de la Renta's second textile collection for Lee Jofa is old world meets new luxe. Finding inspiration in his city apartment, Connecticut gardens and Domincan Island escape, de la Renta maintains a level of elegance in all that he designs. Building on the success of his initial fabric line launched in 2010, the follow-up assortment focuses on rich embroideries, saturated colors and bold florals with a traditional sensibility just like the ever-elegant clothing he designs. Led by the steady eye of style aesthete and industry veteran Carolina Irving, the ODLR Home Collection is growing. Appointed to the role in January, we will start to see more of her creative concepts come into play with the addition of new entertaining and gift items just in time for the holiday season.
When thinking about what the brand wanted to convey with their follow-up home textiles line, Irving shared, "This is a very iconic collection, in the sense that it most reflects Oscar’s lifestyle and sense of refinement, and all that he loves the most: His passion for gardens, his love of romantic chintzes, exotic prints and rich saturated colors," said the Creative Director of Home. "This is a diverse collection that can live in a country house, a New York apartment or a tropical island, but always with the same connecting thread, Oscar’s sense of elegance."
