The "It" designer for some time, the young and spectacularly talented French interior designer Jean-Louis Deniot, is having his moment in the spotlight, with the fall debut of his new Rizzoli book written by Diane Dorrans Saeks and a furniture line with George Smith.  His dramatic, high style interiors are glamorous and tailored, colorful and interesting, and he subscribes to the more is more theory of decorating, with a refined eye. This September, the Parisian designer launched a nine-piece collection of upholstered furniture with George Smith, the British furniture company. Sinewy and curvaceous, the lines of the sofas and chairs are streamlined,  feminine and modern. Influenced by Neoclassicism, the collection, with playfully applied textiles,  is sleek and restrained, and would look at home in a boutique hotel lobby or a cozy library. It signals a new direction for the classic British furniture maker, and not only does it champions a more modern aesthetic, but the brand went outside England to seek designer talent. Talent can be anywhere these days, and taking a risk for reward is often a very smart move.  Have a look at this Parisian designers assortment, it can be found in George Smith showrooms now.

The Heather Sofa with a high, curved-corner back and single tailored seat cushion done in a contrast fabric that mirrors the fabric used on the back of the sofa

A sheltering settee, the Jane, has a high back  and mixes a textural woven and velvet

The Virginie Sofa with rounded, sheltering sides is a modular piece that his held together by magnets

A Klismos-inspired arm chair the Natalie, is curvy with classical lines

The Suzannah Chair can be used for dining or as a side chair. It's high sloping tapered back takes its cue from a Spoon Chair

One of my favorites because of the two-toned leg, The Aurelie Chair with cut-outs to a barrel shape.

Caroline, a femme little side chair, sits on pale wood legs and is at the same time masculine and feminine
