FRET NO MORE: TAYLOR BURKE HOME LAUNCHES MORE EASY PIECES AT HIGH POINT MARKET

Based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, the furniture company started by interior designer Julianne Taylor and Lauren Burke, Taylor Burke Home, creates on-trend pieces with a sense of fun that embrace classic design elements. One of their favorite design motifs, fretwork, is included in the piece that put them on the map-- their best-selling Kings Grant Chair. With open sides and back the airy modern wing chair adds a pop of color and graphic punch with it's stature. The American-made collection, done (mostly) of sustainable hardwoods beech and maple,  has grown to include sofas and pendant lights, all created in the classics with a twist mode they do so well. To further their colorful vibe, they often cover their pieces  in fanciful fabrics designed by Birmingham, Alabama-based Cotton and Quill, the textile company that creates graphic, artistic and animal prints that are all the rage of late. If you would like to match a particular color, Benjamin Moore and Sherman Williams color matching is an option, as is COM upholstery. TBH will  be showing their new collection pieces at Americas Mart, The Atlanta Market, so stop by and visit them at HD Home Building 1, on the first floor booth #5.

The Kings Grant Two Seater is a great piece for an entry hallway or any place a statement piece is needed

My favorite piece, the Soho Loft Chair has a 70's retro vibe with its metal frame, an updated version of a Chinese version usually done in wood

The Phillip Chair, a wood framed piece that takes its cue from a French Louis XVI bergere, covered in the fabrics from Cotton and Quill

if you are looking for a 1970's redux headboard, the Kelly Brass Headboard is a tailored rectangular metal framed piece with an upholstery insert which can be covered in COM too. Gleaming in a burnished brass, it has a toned down sexy vibe.

A three seater tuxedo sofa with a Lawson arm and nailhead trim on the Sonoma Sofa provides for optimum lounging comfort

A smaller choice, the Celine Settee, is a spare piece that incorporates well into a seating area. Since it has legs, its always a good idea to pair it with a skirted piece for interest.

I love the sloping arm of the Dallas Two Seater, trimmed out in a contrast welt and dark wood base

Coffee tables are a way to add a mix of materials to a space, so the Gregg Park Coffee Table, with bobbin x-base and lucite top is fun with its Americana/modern mix.

Changing it up a bit from lacquer benches we know and love, the new upholstered x-base bench goes metallic in brushed brass. It allows for a dash of glam without going all out glitzy.

Rounding out their expanded assortment, they have introduced drum shade pendant lights. Trimmed in brass nailheads, the lighting brings a big jolt of color and would look snappy over a kitchen island.

The fretwork detailing on the Don't Fret pendant diffuses light because of the cut-out designs. Another way to get pattern in the mix, the fixtures have an airyness to them.
