PLAYFUL AND BOLD KATE SPADE SATURDAY COLLABORATES WITH WEST ELM
When two trend-focused companies come together for a collaboration, excitement ensues. Recently, Kate Spade's youthful, mod brand Saturday teamed up with West Elm to create a young, fresh and on-trend collection of pillows, bedding, accessories and chairs with a mid-century modern, colorful vibe. Saturday, aimed at young hip ones is a brand that celebrates the pleasures of weekend living, being at home and having style through edgy pattern and color. West Elm, a company that is owned by Williams-Sonoma, captures an artistic, maker culture in trending materials with a fresh design sensibility. Together, these brands have produced a festive assortment of easy to incorporate designs, focusing on artisanship and modernism in a black and white and color-infused palette. Below, some of my favorite pieces from the partnership. Sending Saturday vibes.
Mixing texture and graphic prints, the pillow assortment is the biggest category.
The rug, colorful abstract print, and mod table lamp mix in with a linear rustic sideboard
Some of these prints have been part of the Sunday collection since it launched, so they provided a natural fit for soft goods. The chairs, available in three styles, have a mid-century twist.
In a room setting, they show how to pick a few moments to go bold, by focusing on the rug, pillows and art
I love a good splatter moment, so these Galaxy Sheets caught my eye
The one thing that I really loved from this collection? This Round lacquer box, shown resting against a framed print also from the assortment. So chic.
