CHECK OUT THE COLOR-FILLED KATE SPADE NEW YORK FURNITURE DEBUT

This past October Kate Spade New York made a big debut, launching furniture at High Point Market. It was the talk of the town, as editors, buyers and interior designers made their way to E.J. Victor to marvel at the bright, fun and feminine collection launch.  With a nod to mid century modern, the line appeared to fit both feminine and masculine settings. It seemed to be designed with the urban buyer in mind, and the pieces were all "right sized" for apartment living. Full of ebullient color, fanciful hardware and pretty details, this was a high moment at High Point. You can find the collection at select Kate Spade New York retailers, and online here. Go forth and pop a cork, these high spirited pieces will make you want to entertain at home.

Who wouldn't want to work at this festive desk everyday? Creative ideas would just flow.

Everyone fell in love with the Downing Desk with surface covered in playful hand painted irregular polka dots. It's a little bit mid century a little bit French deco.

The Georgia Chest with gold circular pulls and stretcher base sits next to the personality chair of the collection.

The Worthington Chair with cut corner back has a dark mahogany frame and kelly green upholstery. It is the perfect dining chair and would look great used in pairs around the dining room doorway.

This room setting showcases some of the Kravet prints that launch soon. With black white and a touch of color, the room is both masculine and femme.

Every rooms needs a little bit of black, right? When using solid upholstery, a printed rug and pillows are the place to add pop. This aqua sofa and black upholstery are punched up a notch with one of the new Jaipur rugs they debuted at market.

With a curved and tufted back the three cushion Drake Tufted Sofa was designed with classic British design in mind.

A jaunty white trim and lumbar pillow give the prepped-up Norwich Armchair eye-popping style

It's all in the mix, as streamlined pieces are placed next to curvy ones.

Tailored and linear, the Downing Sofa includes bolster pillows for added appeal. A track arm gives it a more masculine silhouette.

With a cut out area for a recessed bar, the Downing Coffee Table in cream lacquer is low and sexy.

A curved wood headboard has Regency style that pairs well with a little Victoriana chair and mid century bench, The Georgia.

The bright pink azalea Drake Slipper Chair is my favorite chair in the collection. It is just the right scale for a bedroom chair and the right amount of curves.

Peonies have always been the signature flower choice for the Kate Spade brand, so it is fitting that one appears on a nightstand in the bedroom shot above.

The Downing Mini Chest can serve as a nightstand or side table. It has this striking gold hardware that is also used on the desk, giving it a bit of jewelry-like detail.
