PART II: THE AWE-INSPIRING WINDOWS OF LEGENDS OF LA CIENEGA 2015

And here we are, back for another look at what makes La Cienega Design Quarter's Legends of La Cienega so memorable. The 67 incredible designer-created windows are just so good every year, and the 3-days of events and festivities attracted over 10,000 visitors in this, the 7th year. The second installment of Where Muses Dwell windows bring just as many design ideas and imagination. The enormous undertaking is to be applauded, and being included as one of the 9 Social Media Ambassadors again this year was fantastic. Take a look behind the glass- you are sure to be enthralled.

Simplicity an elegance ruled the day in the serence creation by Christos Prevezanos at Hollywood at Home.  His muse, the Cycladic Island of Folegandros window included his new Peter Fasano printed fabric, Petra.

Serena and Lily hanging chairs and lanterns with pops of color chanelled 1960's California cool in both Nathan Turner windows

Artist and author Konstantin Kankanias filled both windows of Jasper with oversized stuffed dogs made from his just-launched playful fabric collection

Dragonette always brings it with their over the top windows. This year, David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust blasted from the speakers in a total immersive experience by L'Esperance. It's LA.

I'm loving the work of husband and wife duo Maine Design.  They took over both Jean de Merry windows with their version of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainbourg cool.

My longtime friend Matt D'Orisio turned to Yves Saint Laurent elegance in Cote Jardin's window

With pattern and color Julia Buckingham gave us a taste of the Slim Aaron's good life in the tryptic windows of The Rug Company

Anthony George created an exotic escape in the window of MK Collection drawing inspiration from Marrakesh, Morocco

Nicky Rising's fabric showroom window was done by Elizabeth Dinkel, who was influenced by the California architect Julia Morgan, best known for her Heart Castle undertaking.

In Egg & Dart, Pauline de Rothschild gave KM Nelson Design classical inspiration

Molly Luetkemeyer of M Design Interiors and I walked to a party together and she told me her wall hanging was composed of textiles from showrooms along the desing quarter.  Her tonal composition in the window of Jamal's Rug Collection was an homage to the artist Josef Albers.
