After searching high and low for unique gifts, here is the gift guide for the recipient that (you think)  has everything. From grand gestures like a healthy hiking retreat to simple pleasures like a luxe lip balm, this guide runs the gamut, and hopefully provides you with inspiration aplenty for giving thoughtfully and in some cases, with extreme generosity.  Show you care and go all out this year.

Get personal with a commissioned portrait. How about a colorful, custom intaglio from artist and designer Doug Meyer?  His cameo portraits generally take 5-7 weeks to make, and have a wonderfully diverse material mix to them.  Doug incorporates about 15 different materials to make each one.  He will, "encrust them with color mirror and plexi shards, turquoise chips, agates and geodes, crystals and more." They are not ceramics he shares, "they are created with a process I have developed over a couple of years using epoxy, powder pigments and resin to create the ceramic looking finish" which just adds to the unique process he has invented. There is currently an 8-10 week wait list for sizes that range from 17" to 22" inches. Get in line, it's worth it.

Frette recently launched a bespoke monogram linen, towel and pajama program and it is available through their New York, Boston and LA boutiques. The custom embroidery is made to order, and has a month lead time from Italy. Simply stunning, I say, but as you (may) know, Italians always do it better.

Yes, Juicero is a juicer that costs $700. Designed by industrial product designer God Yves Behar's Fuseproject, the high tech gadget is Wi- Fi enabled and requires one use juice packets, which you can order 5 at a time online. Press a single button and the work is done.  Hello, fresh pressed juice. No muss, no fuss. (Note: The price of Juicero is now $399)

Since juicing is the new cocktailing, the recipient of the Juicero needs proper gorgeous glassware to match. These simple understated Saint Louis Crystal Twist tumblers do the job in style.

Give the gift of being one with nature, catching that perfect wave. Learn to surf from a member of the legendary first family of surfing, the Paskowitz's at their camp in San Diego. It is the first surf school and has been "creating" surfers since Doc founded the camp in 1972.  Watch the movie Surfwise before you go. This family story is unreal and epic.

How about a getaway to a luxury retreat to reset? The Ranch Malibu is less rustic more luxe than The Ashram, and seems like one of the most gorgeous spots on earth to recalibrate, nestled in 200 acres the Santa Monica Mountains. I'm game.
