1 WEEK TO GO TILL MY CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL CANCER FUNDRAISING RIDE!

This coming Sunday, I will be participating in my favorite event, Cycle for Survival, the annual spin ride that raises money for cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This is my 5th year riding, and each year the event raises a staggering amount of money for cancer research. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to give back. But regardless of the amount raised, there is still no cure for cancer.  This is where you can make a difference. I take part with my team Amy's Amigos, so we can fight back against this devastating disease. Unfortunately, most people's lives have been touched by cancer in some way, and this is my chance to help change that. Last year, I raised $10,000 and I want to surpass that amount this year.  Here is some helpful information to know, and I hope you will support my ride this March 13th, but donating to my ride here: http://mskcc.convio.net/goto/marisamarcantonio

Why do I ride?

It's personal. This winter, I am riding again in honor of my Dad and my friend, Amy, in my 5th Cycle for Survival event on March 13th. My father was a patient of Dr. Posner at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. What MSKCC does to help patients and their level of care is just incredible. Helping the hospital and supporting their research gives me such pride. So I ride this March for my late father and Amy, so others are able to survive and thrive.

100% of every dollar raised funds pioneering research.

I am committed to ensuring rare cancer patients get new and better treatment options. That's why I'm raising money for Cycle for Survival. My ride will fund research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center—benefiting patients worldwide.

Why this matters:

RARE CANCERS ARE MORE COMMON THAN YOU THINK.
Approximately 50% of all cancer patients are fighting a rare cancer. These are familiar diseases: pediatric cancers, leukemia, lymphoma—and thyroid, ovarian and pancreatic cancers. All are among the many types classified as rare.

THERE AREN'T ENOUGH TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR PATIENTS.
Rare cancer patients often face limited or no treatment options. Cycle for Survival is committed to changing that by funding innovative clinical trials, studies, and research initiatives.

What you can do:

DONATE TO SUPPORT LIFESAVING RESEARCH!
Remember, every dollar helps patients and their families. LET'S DO THIS and beat $10,000 in 1016!

Thank you for your support again this year!! Let's make it the best fundraising year YET! Join the battle.

Sending love and appreciation,

Marisa
