The arrival of a new season means new introductions, and fall is filled with exciting product launches. The biggest takeaway? An amalgamation of regional style; a commingling of design eras. Swedish, British, and American style influences make for an interesting, layered interior. I’ve been championing the great design coming out of the UK for the past several years, and the creative spirit from across the pond continues to reign supreme. I’ve noticed a distinctive color palette is also emerging, combining yellow, green, and blue (with a touch of red). It seems to be everywhere. Try them mixed with deeper brown wood pieces, to make the overall mood cozy and sophisticated. Ahead, my favorite distinctive pieces that incorporate these striking colors and meet the moment. Did you think Americana and Shaker pieces would ever return? They’re back! Along with Mochaware, quilts, baskets, and more. The style pendulum always swings back.

A Swedish rug? Yes, please. A square pattern in shades of blue looks terrific when used with complementary or contrasting colors. Antique rugs like this can run into the thousands, and this is a newly made from The New England Collection, a company with a wide range of designs inspired by the past that I’ve always liked.

Is Shaker design having a moment? Yes, indeed. Well-designed pieces where form follows function are nothing new, but the pared-down, clean lines of Shaker pieces complement a wide swath of styles and tend to look good anywhere. This dining chair from new(ish) Williams Sonoma brand family called Greenrow is made from responsibly sourced materials and inspired by vintage originals.

I love this textured mirror — its pattern reminds me of tramp art, rendered in rattan.

Mochaware, updated. Tory Burch launched a small assortment of tabletop, including these plates with wonderful patterns in bron and blue . So well done.

I love everything Nickey Kehoe does. When I discovered their collaboration collection with Cabana, I immediately wanted every single thing. This patterned tray is a standout.

This tonal blue printed pillow with undulating stripes and teensy florals from Greenrow reminds me of classic French textiles.

Small lampshades made from joyful prints add so much character to a room. And who doesn’t love going down a rabbit hole on Etsy?

I am seeing this rich saffron yellow everywhere I turn. It has gone mainstream. That’s not a bad thing, by the way. It looks great with hunter green, red, and blue, as seen on this lidded ice bucket made of lacquered wood from Brit favorite Matilda Goad. Because your bar deserves to be drop-dead chic.

British racing green. Hunter green. Any green! Green is trending in deeper shades and feels fall-appropriate. Aren’t these glossy candlesticks from Cabana Magazine so good? Another terrific British design.
