JUMP ON THE RIKSHAW!

Hand blocked prints are huge right now. From interiors to caftans, the prints have made their mark. I can't get enough of them. I am loving Rikshaw Design, started by the super talented Catherine Fitzsimmons of San Francisco. Her boho chic aesthetic and experience at Ralph Lauren as a visual merchandiser and as a textile buyer at Pottery Barn gave her the eye to launch a new venture. In 2008, she followed her instincts and travel inspirations, and started a baby bedding and accessories company with an ethnic twist. This spring, kids rooms and guest rooms will now be reminiscent of travel in exotic lands. By tweaking classic patterns, printing them in turquoise, green and hot pink brights, and creating contemporary designs, she has carved out a unique niche. Printed on cotton voile, the fabrics get softer over time.
Yum.
