STYLEBEAT SCOUTS: OFF TO PARIS FOR MAISON OBJET AND DECO OFF
I fondly recall the trip I took to Paris with my family back in 1988, when we had crepes outside the church in St. Germain-des-Pres, roamed the Rue de Bac, worshipped at the altar of the most famous bread maker in Paris, Poilane, and walked till we couldn't walk any longer with Stendhal Syndrome. That was the trip where I wandered off on my own at the Rodin Museum, and lost my mom and sister. It was also the trip where we visited so many wonderful small museums and had some of the best meals I will ever experience, at L'Arpege and Le Voltaire, steeped in history and beauty. I am so glad I got to have those Paris memories with my beyond stylish mother and inspiring sister, because it gave me a wonderful perspective on the magical city and all it has to offer. I am off to experience Paris with a new set of eyes focused on design, joining Grange Furniture, where I will discover lots of exciting new design trends and inspiring finds at both Maison Objet and Deco Off trade shows. Keep track of my adventure by following along in Instagram @stylebeatblog and I am looking forward to sharing everything Paris has to offer upon my return, including more from the Jungle Collection debut at the uber-creative French fabric house, Pierre Frey.
