ART FOR THE MOD SQUAD: WENDY CONCANNON PHOTOGRAPHY

I came across the work of photographer Wendy Concannon at High Point Market. I love her graphic sensibility and bold color choices she makes in her large scale photography. In her modern abstract Lines Series, seen here, the Philadelphia-based artist works with shapes and linear forms to create something entirely graphic and original. Framed in custom acrylic frames, her work is joy-filled and fun. When explaining the inspiration behind her work Concannon shares, "throughout life we react to our physical and social environment and the situations we encounter. Lines start, stop, intersect, divide, and define. The Lines Series is a photographic exploration of these paths in our lives."
