STYLISH SHOPPING IN LA: TODD ROMANO

When I was in LA recently, it was a treat getting to visit Todd Romano's (fairly) new shop on La Cienega Boulevard. I had previously posted about it's arrival here, but knew I had to see it all in person.
Whatever Todd does he does with a particular kind of flair. The punchy - trad - with - great - antiques - and - modern art kind of flair. His shop is a welcome addition to the design district in West Hollywood, for it brings his unique perspective and East Coast love of bold old school prints, tailored upholstery and colorful accessories to the West Coast.

Beautiful antiques, unique objects and bold color await you. The two room shop is in a little house and a second space behind the street houses his design studio.

The space is move in ready! Everything feels really fresh and exciting. As you can see, I took pictures of every square inch of it!

The green and clear crystal chandelier is jawdropping.

An armoire filled to the brim with his fantastic printed pillows. The coffee table in the front is finished in an orange yellow mottled treatment that I have never seen before but loved.

I love the pale blue and white wide striped fabric he put on this French fireside chair.

The pieces Todd finds each have their own particular charm but manage to look wonderful together. The pale green paint color offsets the array really well.

Dhurrie rugs in bold colors are tucked under a chrome table.

A cream chesterfield sofa with printed pillows. I don't know where Todd finds these printed French fabrics- they are terrific.

Framed modern prints and small faux bois pitchers on a lacquer tray.

Pops of color and interesting objects make his tablescapes always a treat for the eye.

A white demilune with exaggerated bobbin leg looks right with a more formal crystal sconce.

French chairs and modern artwork look at home together with Todd's mix mastery.

Bright paintings hangs throughout the space, but when you visit be sure to look at every piece there is a huge stylistic array to choose from.

Colored vintage glass artfully arranged in a vignette.

Seating areas arranged in the shop make the space feel intimate and inviting.

Stacked brass cubes make great side tables next to a classic French chair. The Chinoiserie mirror in the window is to die for.

A bevy of stylish chairs for every taste.

This white wicker corner chair is a personality piece at its best.
